Johny is a musician from the New Jersey Shore area and has palyed all the clubs such as the Stone Pony, Club Bene, Birch Hill and some famous NYC clubs like the Cat Club, La'mour Etc. He's been in bands through most of his younger years Such as Epitaph and put out a couple studio albums with them back in the 90s which is where his sound comes from. He has a progressive but agressive heavy metal sound with a lot of chop and some catchy rythms. He loves using guitar harmony parts which always fatten up a song. With songs like Another Soul For Sale, Taking over the world, Sweet addiction, etc. All of which you will be hearing soon. Johnny is in the process of recording the album now and has quite a few surprises lined up.
All the tracks are formittable in the respect of guitar driven music and very catchy. As a solo artist for the first time he has had to step out of the shadows and become frontman as well as guitarist which posed new challenges for him. But if you hear Another Soul For sale you can hear that he has adapted well to his new challenges and is looking forward to getting out there performing again. He is working on a line up as we speak.
The new song ASFS has taken a popular seat on spotify and created a sense of urgency to really get the album finished. That being said some of the new sound on the album is really progressive. For the first time as well, Johnny is also engineering and producing the music and there have been some learning curves but he likes too put things out there for opinion and get the fans or potential fans involved so you might even get short clips just to get feedback. Some of the songs are older but being updated or modified in certain ways to make them more viable. The new ones are a bit heavier but there are one or two slower paced songs in the pipe as well. He has played all the instruments on the album so far but obviously he cant do that live so auditions are being booked for Drummers and Bass players and don't be surprised if you here some sampling, Which is something he has steered away from for many years but in this day and age you have to keep up with the times and its in a lot of songs now days.
He is also currently working on re releasing old Epitaph music as well so for those people who want to hear the remixed versions of some really old favorites keep an eye out because the Taking Over the World EP will be re released soon on all your favorite platforms.
Stay tuned for more.
